About Laura Neill

A native of Fayetteville, Arkansas, I have always been passionate about two things: art and soccer.  I grew up in a family of artists and being the youngest of three I always pushed myself to be as good as my brother and sister.  Going into college, there were many different careers I was interested in, but art was the only thing I was really confident doing.  I didn't know what I would do with an art degree, but I went for it anyway.  In 2006, I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in painting and a minor in Art History.  What I have realized about myself as an artist is that I can do anything I put my mind to. I work in so many styles and media and I truly believe I am good at most of them.

After leaving school, I decided to pursue my dream of playing soccer professionally; playing in Holland and Sweden, as well as a brief stint in Scotland. After returning home, I earned my teaching license and have been an elementary art teacher since 2017. I am currently working on my Master's in Art Education.
